Detective Paul Jensen was a swinger. He swore never to commit to anybody but himself and his job. Paul never thought he would find himself in love with any woman but his mother and his sister; maybe his partner Liam but on a strictly friendly basis.

Nurse Celeste Kowolski was closed off from love; in fact, she was closed off from all emotion. Her ex-husband had tossed her heart in the blender and hitting puree when he decided he needed a young, blonde, bimbo who could make his blood pressure rise to dangerous levels. Why couldn’t Celeste find someone to make her blood pressure rise and her toes curl?

As chance happens, Celeste decides to step out of her box and invites a gentleman from the bar home. She changed her mind and wanted the evening to be nice and full of talk. However, the “gentleman” thought otherwise and tried to attack her.

Paul Jensen came to the rescue from his upstairs apartment, wearing nothing but his skivvies and a pair of socks.

Is the upstairs neighbor too young to be her one and only? Is he even interested? Could Celeste bring the wall around her heart down long enough to let Paul in?

Ms. Keaton hit the nail on the head with this story. It grabbed me from the beginning and held me all the way through. The sex was hot, and the characters hotter. Highly recommended read!
