Kevin Flaherty is grateful for his job at the car wash, considering he is in a financial tight spot. Kevin was laid off from his better paying job, forcing him to sell his motorcycle and now he has received an eviction notice. Knowing he has friends that would help, Kevin’s self-esteem will not allow him to ask. However, things take a turn for the better when Attorney Michael Bennett drives his Maserati in for cleaning. Michael remembers Kevin at fifteen years old as the cute, openly gay guy who had a crush on Michael, but he rejected the youth since he was twenty one at the time. Now nine years later, the all-grown-up Kevin is gorgeous and Michael wants him.

Car Wash is the heartwarming seduction of Kevin Flaherty. Kevin is a self-regulating man with moral standards that forbid him from begging or committing sexual acts for money, he is also realistic enough to know he could use a little help with his economic dilemma. Kevin is more than willing to work for a pay check; however, he is afraid that Michael is only looking for a Boy Toy. Michael is take-charge and bossy so when he pays Kevin’s bills and they have a fight over it, Michael is heartbroken because his only motivation is to show Kevin he cares. The incredible Shawn Lane delivers a well-written emotionally realistic romance featuring meticulous characters and sensuous love scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed Car Wash and look forward to reading more of this author’s fantastic man love stories.
