John is a casualty of the American Civil War, a spirit returning home with memories and a need to see his best friends and lovers, Amber and Michael. During his absence, which was longer than he’d expected, Michael and Amber have settled into a life together. Now John has to convince them both that the three of them can have a life of their own—even if he is a bit different now.

Unfinished Business is an interesting and entertaining historical romance with a loving trio thrown into a very intriguing situation. I’ve not read many stories in which one of the main characters is a ghost, but the author did very well with the concept.

The love scenes aren’t over the top, and each person involved has a depth of character not easy to achieve in a short story.

Overall, Unfinished Business is a good, well-written read.
