Leopold Thornton hides behind strong drink and lust-filled nights to dull the pain of not having his true love, Arthur Barrington. Ten years is a long time to wait for a second chance, but that’s just what Leopold has done.

Arthur’s career is all he has and his reputation is part of the reason behind his success. Associating with Leopold, a known debaucher, could sully his reputation and yet Arthur cannot seem to walk away without knowing pleasure under Leopold’s tutorage.

A short holiday at his country estate gives Leopold access to Arthur, away from prying eyes. He wants Arthur and no other will do; the question is will his scandalous past destroy his opportunity to finally gain entrance to Arthur’s heart, body, and love.

Leopold knows Convincing Arthur to give him a chance is pretty close to playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun, but refuses to walk away without trying. After ten years of aching for Arthur, Leopold is ready to make every effort to impress. I could relate to his feelings and understand each action. After watching the interaction between Arthur and Leopold, it was clear the men belong together. They had a way of feeding off each other’s emotions. The more time they spent together, the more I was sure they wasted ten years of what could have been a blissful relationship. Ava March’s descriptive writing pulled me into the era, as always, and allowed me to feel the chill in the air, and the currents of desire and need passing through the characters. I loved reading Convincing Arthur and look forward reading to future releases from this talented author.
