Arieh Sef'ea has been seized by the tax collectors, to be sold as a slave, because his parents cannot pay the property taxes due. Taken to the city of Keshe in chains, Arieh is stripped and oiled for auction. However, before the bidding began, the traders started a commotion; a ploy to advertise their wares and display the beautiful naked Arieh to the head soldier who came to restore the peace at the slave market.

Every Good Thing is a mind seduction and love story. Arieh Sef'ea is just coming into his manhood; he has been raised in a strict religion that forbids love between men, even the association with foreigners. He is also innocent of the human body and any sexual activities. The Keshen soldier is a very compassionate man who displays a great deal of patience with Arieh. M. Jules Aedin has created a fascinating tale that reminds me of an ancient Roman society. What I found most enjoyable is that the Master employs mental binding of the slaves as a means to garner obedience, only their clothes indicate ownership. This is a wonderful well-written heartwarming romance.
