have been at an emotional stalemate for five years. Neither man wants to be the
first to reveal their true feelings. But a dire event prompts Hilton to assist
Cathal in dealing with the issues as well as break down the barriers both men
had erected around their hearts.
Why I Love Bodyguards is part of the Why I Love...
series. The plot features poignantly realistic issues that test human strength as
well as the spirit. The storyline highlights the loss of a parent, abandoned
children along with drug addiction. Humor is inserted to alleviate some of the
tearful moments throughout the plot. The characters are believable.
Hilton is a hardworking successful businessman. He
constantly monitors his many corporations, as well as his bank accounts. Hilton
does not trust easily. Previous love interest turned out to be men only looking
to advance their careers, which is the main reason he refused to reveal his
feelings for Cathal.
Cathal is well suited for his job as bodyguard, there is
very little that escapes his keen intellect. He is even aware of Hilton’s
affection for him. Nevertheless Cathal does not deem himself worthy of Hilton’s
social status so he conceals his own love for Hilton.
T. A. Chase has created another enjoyable installment to
this series. What I found especially fascinating is Hilton and Cathal are very
much alike in personality. Both men are extremely compassionate, smart,
stubborn and sensuous.
