Regina, who goes by Reggie, is a gypsy reader who’s gone through unbelievable situations all her life and has been turned into an unborn vampire at the age of eighteen. What she has not figured out is who she really is, in the make up of life through the Mother Goddess. After escaping from the Werewolves she makes it to the Ye Olde Haven Pub, which offers sanctuary for Trueblood Vampires. While waiting, she does a gypsy dance to the music being played and collapses to be caught up by Lux.

Zander & Lux Sairel are the proprietors of the Ye Olde Haven Pub who find themselves with an unborn that is not welcomed by Trueblood vampires at all. Lux is a healer by trade and brother to Zander, who is Mediator of the Clan along with being the head of his family since his father stepped down. When Zander comes to grips with his feelings for Regina there is nothing that will stop him from claiming her except her consent that means so much to him.

Children of the Goddess Book 1: Regina in the Sun is so well written you can’t help but love the actions of Regina and Zander throughout the story. This book is action-packed with fighting, bad behavior, betrayal and very explicit love scenes that will keep you reading all the way through. Between Lux and Zander, I am not sure who enjoys life more because they certainly make every effort to do so.

As Regina tries to save her clan, the Deva, she knows that there are many risks she must take to do so and willingly becomes a spy. She does it because of her love for them. When the Shadow Wolf finds out the true purpose for Regina in the scheme of things by the Mother Goddess, he will do anything possible to have her. R. G. Alexander had done a fabulous job and I am impatiently waiting to read the next saga of Children of the Goddess to see what will come about regarding Regina and Zander. Lux is having issues himself and needs something to bring him back to normal.
