But when loved ones are threatened, Gabe get’s his hackles up and is ready to protect heart and home. Hayden completes Gabe in so many ways. Discovering his ability to shift helps form a new link with the love of his life, and proves that not all canines are as ruthless as he has feared. And even as we watch Gabe and Hayden learn to accept their abilities, we get a glimpse of a budding relationship between two wonderfully written characters – Alex and Brey. I can only hope that they will have their own story in this series. Anne Cain has created an incredible sequel. Pawprints - Second Nature delivers the ideal combination of drama, suspense, action and humor topped off with heart-pounding, bed-rocking sexual encounters. This is sure to be a hit to those who enjoy stories about shifters.
