Literary Nymphs Reviewer: Satyr Vael
Still on the rebound a year after a break-up, Brody O’Connor is only looking for a one-night stand when he spots a hunk in a bar during a St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl. For most of the night, he and his mystery man chase each other from bar to bar, the sexual tension rising with every furtive touch or glance. When they finally get together at Brody’s place, sparks fly. Come morning… it’s over.
Or is it?
Evan Delapontes is everything Brody wants, but the risk of getting involved, of falling in love, scares Brody. It’s not until tragedy strikes, however, that Brody realizes there’s something more terrifying than love.
Give Me One Night is a feel-good, enjoyable romance. Brody and Evan really are made for one another, even if they’re too stubborn to see it at first. The love scenes between them, while edging on purple prose, are still hot. The plot wasn’t angsty, but it fit the characters well. It’s a good book for when you want to read something light but with a touch of drama. I’ll certainly be looking for more from KC Kendricks in the future.
