After three years, Jonty Stewart and Orlando Coppersmith have captured a blissful relationship others only dream of obtaining. Quiet life with the lack of a good mystery has them both hoping for another sleuthing opportunity. They gain it when they visit the White City exhibition in London and become witnesses in a suspicious-death-turned-case-of-murder.

News of the passing of Orlando’s grandmother brings a new mystery to the forefront… Orlando wants to know the truth about his heritage. Will the discovery be too much for him to handle?

Lessons in Trust is the seventh story of the Cambridge Fellows Mysteries series. Charlie Cochrane adds murder and a family mystery into this latest installment and finally allows Orlando to discover the truth about his family. The characters are written with such an emotional depth you couldn’t help but be drawn into the story. I have to admit, seeing Orlando a bit off his game made me like him that much more. He has truly become part of the Stewart family.

Ms. Cochrane mixes bits of history into the story that I found fascinating. The more believable a historical romance, the more memorable, and this is one I plan to revisit.
