A power struggle is going on among the Drakoni. Aiden has been named as the Supreme-Alpha but is now being asked to fulfill an ancient contract involving sexual sacrifice that has not been used in hundreds of years. In addition, he will have to share this sacrifice with his twin brother Jace, per the Drakoni laws. It would be different if he had not been a twin.

Dana is an artist that paints dragons and is also the daughter of a hunter that hunts the Drakoni, or dragons. Once Aiden and Jace realize this, they also realize that they have been set up and know that they are supposed to die. What no one realizes is that Dana happens to be Aiden’s mate and that he will do whatever it takes to protect her.

Light My Fire brings another shapeshifter society into a good story. Ms. Redford has a knack of letting you feel the different emotions of the characters and takes you on a journey of discovery. The chemistry and emotions that Aiden and Dana have between them require ice on hand. There are a few hot scenes between Aiden, Dana and Jace; especially the one where they give her a claim mark to try to protect her.

The secondary characters that are sprinkled throughout the story are funny and, sometimes, intriguing. Once you get further into the story, the suspense factor will keep you on your toes as you try to figure out the puzzle pieces. I look forward to reading more from this author.
