Rookie Patrick St. James’ life has changed in a matter of months. Pat received a promotion, thanks to his work in solving a series of anti-gay murders. His love life has also increased from mundane to spectacular thanks to a budding relationship with longtime friend Dean. His fellow officer Hank Capstone has found a few new things in his life as well, specifically Shawn, a handsome clerk who has been eyeing Hank for a few months. Nevertheless, there is no time for rest as more young gay men are turning up dead. Is someone from the last case involved or is there a new culprit?
John Simpson has done it again! Task Force takes us back into the life of a more experienced Pat St. James. He is working on yet another high profile case. The story held my attention from the first chapter. With enough action, suspense, and sex to more than entertain those who enjoy a good police story. I loved watching Dean and Pat taking their relationship to the next level. Moreover, Hank really deserved to find someone to fill the void in his life. Throughout the tale, they found time for work and play. A balance needed to help them focus on the task of finding the murderer and restore a level of safety for the gay community. I am hoping there will be another installment in the works.
