Night Owl is a beautifully poetic love story that takes you beyond the simple use of the word. Willa Okati presents a splendid example of the real meaning of love and commitment. Alder suffers despair over the loss of his wings and a wounded spirit at the loss of the freedom found in flying. When Alder listens to his awakening heart, and learns the meaning of “to thine own self be true”, he discovers the answers and joy he seeks. Taj is the anchor; he never gives up or loses faith in Alder or the love they share. Not only does he say the words, he expresses his love and honor through his actions. This is an extraordinary and very moving story that I greatly enjoyed.
