Josh Addison is not expecting to have any fun alone on the Mediterranean cruise he won.  However, being seduced by Captain Kane Kessler turns into the best two week vacation Josh has ever experienced.

The Captain's Man is a sizzling romance with a touch of emotional drama.  The well written characters are believable. Josh had a break up right before their vacation was scheduled to begin.  His lover left Josh for another man, ending their five year relationship.  Josh suffers from low self-esteem.  He is embarrassed by his skinny body and ghostly white skin.  So Josh is very surprised that the incredibly handsome captain is attracted to him.  Josh dreams of a long term relationship, although he soon realizes his dreams are doomed when Kane explains what he and Josh have is merely a fling.

Kane is at sea eight months out of the year.  He has a confident personality to match his physical appeal to both men and women.  He enjoys his job, self-assured that he has the ability to please.  The down side to his career is that Kane has to stay in the closet, as well as limiting his sexual encounters to short affairs.

The Captain's Man is a fascinating story with lots of sex as well as emotional conflict.  Josh and Kane are star-crossed lovers with a happy for now ending.  However, Scarlet Blackwell leaves the door open just enough to give the reader hope for a sequel to this tantalizing and most enjoyable saga.
