Charisma Snow has the gift of being a siren. She can sing like no other and can kill with that voice too, if she chooses. She was orphaned as a young child, when both of her parents were killed in a car accident, and still doesn’t trust enough to show any love to others. That emotion has caused her to be used by people who always want to use her for illegal things. So when she is rescued by Kadian, her feelings are sent into overdrive, trying to figure out what he wants from her, and she attempting to hide her love for him, so she won’t long for him later.

Kadian James, a Were-dragon, uses his talents with music to become very famous. Charisma’s song haunts him in his head and he has to find her because she is the only woman for him. The torture he goes through to protect her is more than expected, each time he is taken into custody by the Agency for Supernatual Police (ASP), but he never gives up on finding her. Falling in love with Charisma is not in his plans, so he continues to keep helping without realizing that his feelings have gone further than he wanted.

Charisma - I love the name of this story, and the beauty described that carries the name matches it perfectly. There is nothing better than to be taken away by a flying dragon, once you get past your fears. These two characters have found a connection no one can sever and I especially liked the fact that they were able to hear each other’s music, internally. I found myself laughing at the attitudes of the different people working for The Agency for Supernatural Police (ASP). Those are the paranormal agents who keep the rogue supernatural from doing harm to other people.

Wendy Stone did a fantastic job of describing how the lives of different clans were able to function, and how their mating rituals were completed. I really enjoyed some of the secondary character’s contribution to the plot. There are surely more stories to tell of this interesting group, and I was very impressed with Samantha, who seemed bent on staying a single independent woman. This is the third of a series, and to understand the characters better, I recommend reading all of the books in order. I am looking forward to reading the next story by Ms. Stone and hoping, maybe, it will be about Samantha and Dimitri.
