Mystic's Call is the book five of the Island Guardians series and we finally discover the Mystic’s identity, the identity of the final sacrifice, and what the Goddess of Altair has planned for the inhabitants. The Guardians and Mystic bond as sisters and have an easy flowing banter. The attitudes and support of their husbands gives them the courage and strength to get through this trying time. There were points in the book that I felt a bit bogged down by re-reading previously written information, but I could clearly understand how it would be helpful to someone who isn’t familiar with the series. The book could have been stronger in plot but overall, this is a good ending for this series and if I haven’t missed my guess, Lacey Thorn has more to come.
