For a hundred years, Chris has hung around the Demon Warriors, but he only has eyes for one…Hondo, and he’s about as observant as a brick. The others realize how Chris feels about the big warrior but not Hondo - he doesn’t have a clue.

When things heat up in the Demon world, Chris is ready to leap in and show Hondo he’s ready to help; when in reality, the smaller demon is more likely to get hurt. That means Hondo has to convince his little friend to not take chances. When the two get closer, the big question is whether they can become lovers without it interfering with their long standing friendship. And who’s the demon trying to hurt Chris and why and how does his new friend fit in?

Hondo is a good start to the new series Demon Warriors. I didn’t expect to say this about a story with demons but they’re cute…and sexy…and the personalities of the characters are unique and interesting. Chris is small for a demon and after hanging out with the Demon Warriors for so many years, he thinks he’s just as big and bad as the real thing…except he isn’t. He’s actually a soft-hearted sweetie who only wants Hondo to think of him as something other than his buddy. Hondo is a big, aggressive and protective warrior who cares about his friends but doesn’t have a clue.   With the creation of these two men…demons…Ms. Hagen has crafted characters the readers can easily care about.

It’s a little difficult to get these two together but once it happens, watch out for the sparks as our little demon Chris and his new mate set the sheets on fire…almost literally. There’s also plenty of action, several good friends, a mysterious theft of a crystal, villains and a new friend that might not be what he appears. It’s all mixed into a fast moving, fun plot that’s filled with snappy dialogue that’s just downright fun. Watch for the next release, Snooke, featuring warrior Kane and Chris’s questionable friend, Snooke.
