Levi Wright has had many relationships with women, but has always felt something was missing. When he meets Stacy James, he knows just what that something is. Before he has the time to figure out how to handle his new relationship, he is forced to reveal all to his family. For Stacy, Levi was the last thing he was looking for. Falsely accused of abuse in his youth, Stacy has kept his relationships to a minimum, afraid of getting hurt again. When the much younger man steps into his life, he realizes that in order to be happy, he needs to step away from his past.
In its own way, KC Kendricks’ Shining Victory is a coming-out story for both men. While one has denied whom he is for fear of how those around him will react; the other hides for fear of being hurt and accused by those who know him. While the story is fast-paced, the relationship and feelings of the two men built in a very short time; the author was still able to provide a full comprehensive story. The reader will enjoy the chemistry between the two men without feeling as though that is all they are getting. I would not have any trouble recommending this story to any reader of the genre.
