Dr. Clive Thibodaux was shadowing a madam, gathering information for his book on human sexuality and modern man. He notices the file on Kate and asked the madam to allow him to be the male escort and tutor of sexual desire.
Clive and Kate are neighbors. Kate is very insecure because she is a full-figured woman with skinny sisters. Clive had wanted her from the first time he saw her but realized she was shy and wary of men. Clive uses this opportunity to get to know Kate and to let her experiment with light bondage and explore her sexuality. Clive has to win her over after she discovers his deceit.
Tinsel Town is well written and fast paced. Kate’s insecurities come through. When Clive meets Kate’s family, he tells them the truth about being a professor and an author. When Kate finds out that he really is those things, the sparks fly. I liked the way the Ms. Black wove Kate’s sexual exploration and reactions throughout the book.
