Talented author Evangeline Anderson has taken the time honored concept of a fairy godmother and turned it on its ear with her new and entertaining release, Wishful Thinking, Book 1 of The Swann Sister Chronicles. It’s a fun, and often light-hearted paranormal read that kept me reading faster and faster from beginning to end. This story is longer than many e-book releases, but that only gave Ms. Anderson plenty of opportunity to develop well-rounded and interesting characters and situations. The scenes revolving around Phil’s unfortunate wish gone awry and its disastrous aftermath often hand me chuckling aloud, and the dialogue here is priceless. It’s pretty obvious from the beginning that Phil and her jerk fiancé, Christian, aren’t meant to be together while Phil and Josh, on the other hand, are perfect together. When these long-term friends finally get together, it’s sweet, tender, hot and very erotic. Add in enchanting secondary character, especially her sisters and quirky half-fairy grandmother, and you have all the elements needed to the keep the story fast-paced and lively.
