Hollywood actor Sean Fairchild and his bodyguard-turned-lover Detective Daniel Moran are enjoying breakfast on the deck at the Malibu beach house when a threatening postcard from Sean’s stalker arrives in the mail. Dan tries to persuade Sean that the stalker is dead; so if not the stalker, who is sending the postcards? And how well does Sean really know Dan?

The Dark Horse is a well written who-done-it mystery with realistic characters. Sean is an emotionally fragile actor who is attempting to find balance in the turmoil of his life. Dan is a compassionate man who loves and accepts the flawed Sean. The amazing Josh Lanyon is a master at creating suspense that keeps me glued to the very end of the story and wanting more. This is a splendid and very enjoyable saga.
