Christian has his hockey career planned down to the last letter. He knows he has to start with one of the minor leagues and work hard to be noticed by any scout that may be watching him. This does not always endear him to his new teammates. While the rest of the team may not like him, Christian has no problems getting along with Ronnie, one of the team’s senior players.
Although Christian seems to think he is the only real player on the team, Ronnie can't help but be drawn to the man. While both men work hard on the ice to get their team through the season, they work even harder off it.
Playing the Field: Face Off is the first book in a new series by author J.M. Snyder. Involving the world of sports, Ms. Snyder sets the first book in the hockey rink. While the characters seem to be total opposites; Christian is the hot head, egotistic player and Ronnie the more laid back, quiet type; they work well together. Playing the Field: Face Off is an enjoyable start to what looks like a fun series.
