Docia Kent is very insecure about herself when it comes to men. Afraid that they only want her for her family’s money, she keeps to herself.

Cal Toleffson is a very big man and is constantly afraid that his size creates apprehension in the females that he has dated in the past. He sees Docia and wants to get to know her.

Docia owns a bookstore that seems to be having a lot of break-ins and other mishaps. She discovers that someone has hidden something in her bookstore that is quite valuable.

Venus In Blue Jeans is a very good suspense story. The insecurities of Docia and Cal contribute to the story, as well. I was delighted with some of the twists that Ms. Benjamin had because the villains were surprise. I enjoyed reading this and did not want to put in down.
