Greg Chennault has loved golf since he was a kid. After sneaking onto the green and being caught by one of the players, Greg is given a job as a caddy. Now as an adult, Greg works at an exclusive resort as their ‘expert’, a job that leaves him plenty of time to indulge his passion. Thinking he will be able to spend some time with an old mentor at the resort's annual tournament, Greg is pleasantly surprised when it turns out to be the man's son, Trey, instead.
Trey has wanted Greg since they were both teens but the slightly older boy never seemed to notice. Now that they’re both adults, Trey sees no reason why they cannot be together. When he sees an invitation for a golf tournament with Greg’s name on it, Trey knows just what he needs to do.
For the second book in her series, J.M. Snyder takes us out to the green with Playing the Field: Tee'd Off. While the series is centered in the world of sports, it is not bogged down with the book's sport of choice. The chemistry between the characters is very strong and while slightly younger than Greg, Trey knows exactly what he wants.
