Aiden Courtland is back in town, at the request of the Texas Council of Vampires. He’s searching for a Dark Lord, and trying to help mortal Talihina Cates unleash the powers she never knew she had. Tali is a talented stained glass artist, helping with a museum exhibit. Her mom says the spirits have warned her that Tali should beware of a painting and watch out for fire and ice. Tali starts to take the warning seriously, when the museum director ends up dead.

Aiden and Tali share a past – and hopefully a future. The attraction is undeniable.

This is a fun tale, with a werewolf, an art theft, and a satisfying puzzle. Tali is coming into her own, and I hope for future volumes where readers can learn more of the rules and abilities for the supernatural amongst us.
