Lea Reynolds started having nightmares at a very young age and was always terrified when she came face to face with the people from her dreams. Because nothing about this gift had been explained to her, she was floundering around lost and willing to resort to drugs and alcohol to dull her mind. When she goes to see Chase after her latest dream, she hopes he will not think she is a basket case, and instantly falls hard for the man.
Chase Montgomery is an ambitious law enforcement officer, and never lets an unsolved case go. He is a man without attachments, including women, but he has met his match in Lea. Now that he has her in his arms, there is nothing that he won’t do to keep her with him forever.
Deadly Dreams is a fantastic mystery/suspense story that had me trying to figure out when the police would get smart enough to solve the murders, even though there were very few clues. In the midst of all the killings, the lovers are still able to find a little happiness with each other. What Chase does special for her had me in tears (I won’t give that away…you have to read the book). There is a lot of silliness on the part of the young ladies, even after being warned to be careful, and that was their downfall. Ms. Stone had done a beautiful job of bringing this story to a very happy ending, but she leaves you with the impression that there might be more to come, and I surely hope so.
